Frequently Asked Questions
What are performance measures?
Performance measures are quantifiable metrics used to track progress, evaluate efficiency, and assess whether an organization is achieving their intended goals for the program. Federal grantees are required to regularly collect and report performance measure data on the program(s) funded. The types of data grantees are required to collect depend on the funding stream and program(s) implemented and may include client-, program- and/or administrative-level collection.
What is SUPRT?
On October 1, 2025, SAMHSA grantees switched from the GPRA to a new instrument, SAMHSA’s Unified Performance Reporting Tool (SUPRT), to collect and report required measures back to SAMHSA. Some changes include different reassessment time points, updated guidance for closing out records for clients no longer receiving care and for clients with multiple episodes of care. PRG is ready to provide your organization with our Insight system for SUPRT.
How can PRG Insight benefit my organization?
Our system was designed to help you meet federal requirements for data collection. Electronic forms and automatic uploads to the federal performance reporting system simplify data collection, reduce the amount of time and effort your staff and clients must spend on it, and ensure that data are reported to the funder per grant requirements. The data dashboard allows staff and supervisors to view survey completion rates and client data across all sites and providers or to filter the data by specific sites, providers, and/or time ranges.
With PRG Insight you can leverage your program, administrative, and/or client survey data to inform programming. Client characteristics and behaviors can be viewed at a glance to learn whether the population of focus is being served, identify areas of program success, and determine areas for improvement.
Can I access my data after the grant ends?
All data are stored in the system and can be downloaded and saved for future use.
How does PRG Insight improve data quality?
PRG Insight prevents data entry errors upfront through skip patterns and response validation, minimizing errors and ensuring data accuracy.
How frequently are dashboard data updated?
The data are updated multiple times a day, providing real-time access to the latest information.
