User Guide
The purpose of this data dashboard is to support client tracking and reporting processes for project leadership for the Hepatitis C Elimination Initiative Pilot (HEIP). The dashboard provides current information derived from the live version of the OHL HEIP Project Plan.
Last Case Mgmt Contact
Green: Client has been successfully contacted by a case manager in the past 30 days or less.
Red: Client has not been successfully contacted by a case manager in the past 30 days or less.
Visit 2, 3, & 4 Projected Date
Green: Client attended the scheduled medical visit.
Yellow: Client has not completed a required medical visit; it may be pending, overdue, or not yet documented.
Blue: Client’s treatment timeline extended due to a delay in initiating antiviral medication and they have not yet attended the scheduled visit. Projected visit dates displayed on the dashboard may differ from the anticipated schedule based on the client’s intake date.
Visit 3 & 4 Test Result
Green: Client’s test was non-reactive.
Red: Client’s test was reactive, requiring reinitiation of treatment.
- Client: An individual who consents to participate in HEIP, receives a reactive HCV test result at intake, and is enrolled in the program on or after March 1, 2026.
- Episode of Care: The discrete series of planned health care and wraparound services that spans HCV treatment initiation to cure. If a client does not progress through an episode of care as expected due to an interruption in their treatment, or they receive a reactive HCV test result at Visit 3 (test-to-cure visit) or Visit 4 (reinfection testing visit), their episode of care discontinues and they begin a new episode of care by restarting antiviral treatment.
- Non-reactive: A test result indicating that markers of infection were not detected. For HCV, a non-reactive result generally indicates that HCV infection is not present and is considered equivalent to a negative test result.
- Program Completion: Clients have completed the program if they have attended all four medical visits within a single episode of care, received non-reactive results at Visits 3 and 4, and are formally discharged by their case manager. If a client is discharged prior to Visit 4 or with a reactive result at Visit 4, they have not completed the program.
- Projected Visit Date: An estimated date for a client’s required HEIP medical visits, calculated from the intake date as follows: Visit 2 at 2 weeks, Visit 3 at 16 weeks, and Visit 4 at 40 weeks after intake. Because the OHL medical team schedules appointments on an individual basis, projected visit dates are estimates only. Actual visit dates should be confirmed with the client’s medical provider.
- Reactive: A test result indicating that markers of infection have been detected. For HCV, a reactive result indicates the presence of an active HCV infection and is considered equivalent to a positive test result.
- SVR (Sustained virologic response): A treatment outcome indicating that HCV is no longer detectable in a client’s blood after completing antiviral therapy (i.e., the client is cured of HCV). SVR is confirmed through HCV laboratory testing conducted at least 16 weeks after treatment initiation. HEIP clients are tested for SVR at Visit 3.
- Click to View All Data. Some tables are too large to show all columns and rows within the main dashboard screen. Click on any table name that contains “click to view all data” to see and scroll through all rows and columns in the table. Clicking on the table name will bring you to a new dashboard page displaying only the full table selected. Use the scroll function at the bottom and right side your screen to scroll through the table and view all columns and rows, as needed. To return to the dashboard tab you were on before expanding the table, click the back button on your browser or the original page name (highlighted in blue under your organization’s logo).
- Download Data Tables and Visualizations. When you hover over a table or other visualization, a button with three dots will appear in the top right corner of the tile. When you click this button you will be presented with the option to download the data selected in an Excel or CSV file, or to download the data visualization in a PDF or image file.
- Filter data. The filter function (centered at the top of each tab of the dashboard) can be used to narrow results by a specific site, provider, client, and/or time range. First, click the type of filter you want to apply, then select the filter details. Once you hit “Apply” the system runs the filter and the dashboard will update the data for relevant tiles. To turn off the filter, you must select “Revert to defaults” or turn off the filter setting you selected, then hit “Apply” again. You may apply multiple filters at the same time.
- Hover Over Data to View or Highlight Values. When you place your mouse over data visualizations, hover boxes appear to highlight the particular data point(s) selected and offer other relevant information (if applicable). Some label text may be too long to display fully on the dashboard; hover over these labels to display the full text.
- See notes. If needed to contextualize the data presented, a Notes section is included at the bottom of the dashboard tab. Notes pertaining to a particular dataset or visualization are marked with asterisks.
- Show or Hide Data in Charts With Legends. Clicking on an item in the legend of the chart toggles the inclusion of the corresponding “slice” in the chart. When a slice is excluded its value is removed from the aggregated total and the sizes of the remaining slices are adjusted accordingly.
- Sort table data. If you want to sort the information in a table, click the column title to rearrange the data from descending to ascending order (an arrow will appear to indicate the order). You may find it helpful to sort table data by site and/or provider name, assessment status, or the date next assessment form opens.
