In April, PRG participated in the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s annual conference (NatCon) in Denver, where we exhibited PRG Insight. During the conference, we talked with attendees about common data collection challenges, the transition to the SAMHA’s Unified Performance Reporting Tool (SUPRT), and SAMHSA’s upcoming grant opportunities.

During these two days of exhibition (April 27-28), we connected with over 100 professionals working in mental health and substance use organizations. We provided information and resources on SAMHSA data collection requirements and talked with grantees about their experiences transitioning from the GPRA and NOMs tools SUPRT, or their preparation for adopting the tools in the coming months.

We also demonstrated our PRG Insight system for SUPRT data collection, management, and visualization, including its short, user-friendly form designed to guide users through questions using built-in logic. Visitors to our booth learned how our SUPRT data collection form streamlines data collection and makes the data collected available via real-time data dashboards. Thank you to everyone who participated in our raffle activity!

From our brief survey, the most reported challenges organizations face in collecting and reporting SUPRT data to SAMHSA are:

  • Completing client data collection on time
  • Using the data collected effectively
  • Collecting required client-level data
  • Sharing information with funders/partners

PRG Insight is designed to address these challenges. Our client tracking dashboard supports case managers by notifying them when new assessments are due and our electronic forms make client-level data collection easier. Dashboard tabs provide real-time access to client characteristics, mental health and substance use data, and services delivered, making it easier for organizations to use, manage, and share their data throughout the grant period.

Professionals who were not yet SAMHSA grantees also expressed strong interest in our upcoming SAMHSA Grant Info Session webinars on May 14th and May 28th from 12:30-1:30 PM EST. These free webinars will share information about:

Our team was glad to connect with organizations and share resources and information on how PRG Insight can help reduce the time and effort spent on data collection, uploading, and reporting, allowing more time to focus on clients.
